Prior to any of deployment or migration, Enabling Technologies’ Standard Operating Procedure is to properly plan and design an optimal solution with each customer.  In doing so, we reduce risk, set expectations, and ensure success.  Enabling’s done this for over 1400 Skype and Office 365 projects.  The Design and Roadmap phase further prioritizes and analyzes use cases to develop a roadmap for implementing an effective UC&C solution tailored to your needs.   It also addresses Cloud vs. On-premise, potential risks, and compliance considerations.  Software Assurance (SA) vouchers can pay for these services from qualified partners like Enabling.

Process: 

Enabling assigns a Project Manager and a Subject Matter Expert for this process.  The Project Manager will provide a detailed agenda for live, interactive sessions.  The customer schedules time with their internal experts for our engineer to lead an active two-way dialog.  

The sessions begin with an Enabling engineer envisioning and gathering requirements.  They explain what’s possible from a business and application perspective to set expectations.  They’ll ask questions to define goals and requirements, and allow dialog between stakeholders and technology owners to get aligned with the project’s goals.  Next, the Enabling engineer leads one on one sessions with individual technology owners to cover their specific areas.  We educate, hear concerns, and ask important questions that will help identify gaps and constraints.  

Once the business and technical information is gathered, the engineer will return to his lab to analyze the information, develop a reference architecture, and a report.

Deliverables:

Once Enabling’s engineer and Project Manager produce a quality report, it’s emailed to the customer for review.  Typical contents include:

* Reference architecture showing new systems and integrations with existing systems

* High-level bill of materials, showing specs for hardware/software that are required

* Gap analysis, identifying any other prerequisite improvements or projects are necessary

* High-level project plan, showing order of operations and steps in the critical path

Outcomes:
